Jesse Person allegedly beats cat to death with a stick

Jesse Person is a special case.  Most recently, he was arrested on May 8 for allegedly beating a cat to death with a stick.  Nice fella indeed.  Previous arrests on Mr. Person's rap sheet include:

Burglary of a dwelling, 1997, Felony
Petit theft, 1997
Panhandling, 2002
Possession of an Open Container, 2002

It would appear that Mr. Person may have some problems, and we are not without sympathy for him.  If he needs help, then he should be given the proper attention, supervision and medication appropriate to him, before someone else gets hurt.  Prison might not be the best resource of correction for him, but he certainly needs to not be allowed back on the streets.  The full story follows the signature below.

A judge has not been assigned as of yet, so please take the time to write to the State Attorney, Mark Ober today.  We're confident that all letters and messages will be passed along.
