George Jaworowsky drags his 2 pit bulls with his car, April 21, 2003
George Jaworowsky, 46, accused of cruelly dragging his 2 young pit bulls down the street, using his car. He has been charged with one count of felony animal cruelty, and is out on $5000.00 bail. The full story, as it appeared in The St. Petersburg Times is available via link on the left side as well as the very bottom of this page.
Bruno fared the worse. His pads were allegedly worn down to the bone. Both dogs are at The Humane Society of North Pinellas (www.hsnp.org) They are seeking custody of the dogs, but Jaworowsky isn't giving them up. Really
George Jaworowsky lives at 2872 Spring Oak Ct., Palm Harbor, FL 34684. Please write him a polite letter asking him to remand custody of the two dogs to HSNP, so that they can be adopted out to spend the rest of their lives with a decent human being. It's believed he's in the home health care industry in some way. An odd profession for this sort.
Next, please call/write a letter to the judge presiding over the case, as well as the State Attorney:
Case Number 03-06776 CF ANO Division K
The Honorable Philip J. Federico Chamber 2 14250 49th St. North Clearwater, FL 33762 727.464.7457
State Attorney Bernie McCabe P.O. Box 5028 Clearwater, FL 33758 727-464-6221
*Remind them that a heinous crime such as this deserves prosecution to the fullest extent of the law. *Be sure that they are aware that studies have proven that those who inflict violence and harm upon humans almost always start their terrible path on animals. *Also, please ask that part of his sentence, when found guilty, to be that he not be allowed to have companion animals at any time in the future. This guy doesn't deserve another chance to control and harm another animal. *Ask the judge to immediately remand custody of the dogs, Bruno and Susie over to The Humane Society of North Pinellas. *Lastly, his white Ford Taurus was used in the commission of a felony. Suggest that the State seize this asset and auction it off. Thank them for taking this crime seriously. Bernie McCabe, for one, owes it to the animals after falling so short in the lack of prosecution for the hundreds of thousands of Cypress Foods hens that were left to starve in Dade City just over a year ago.
Bay Area Bail Bonds (3000 Gulf to Bay Blvd, Clearwater, FL 727.712.8886) supposedly sprung this monster from jail. Sad. If anyone asks for a recommendation for a bailbondsman, send that business elsewhere. Let Bay Area Bail Bonds know that. Revoking bail is only a short drive away.
His neighbors ought to know what kind of "person" lives in their neighborhood. Remember, he's only accused, and he's awaiting trial. However, for their own safety, these good individuals should be careful of their animals and children in the area. Drop them a line too (all addresses are in Palm Harbor, Florida, 34684):
Winifred Rathburn 2865 Spring Oak Ct.
Aly Elrasoul 2854 Spring Oak Ct.
Keith P. Bellavia 2944 Spring Oak Ct.

Nancy M. Heinonen 2908 Spring Oak Ct.

Thank you for any action you take to help these dogs obtain their freedom from this sorry excuse for a human, as well as helping to put him behind bars where he belongs.
