AL LOPEZ DOG PARK 4810 N. HIMES AVE. TAMPA, FLORIDA |
Al Lopez Park has a wonderful dog park area. It is around towards the back of the park area, and has areas for both large and small dogs. The park has a water station with fountains for dogs and for humans, picnic tables in the shade, poop-scoop baggies, trash receptacles and various toy remnants scattered about the large area. The park area is best enjoyed by folks with non-aggressive, preferably neutered dogs and puppies. |
In the background, beyond the concrete entryway, you can see an additional fenced area. This is a nice big run area for smaller dogs. So, if you're worried that your pomeranian might get trampled by a big dog like Zen, here, you have your own area. What a great idea! |
Someone new must be arriving, as here comes the "Welcoming Committee". Let's see...4 great danes, 2 pugs, a beagle, a lab, a boxer pup...It just shows, big or small, young or old, everyone loves the dog park. |
Thirsty? This lab has been playing hard. The park is completely outfitted for our four-legged friends. This watering station has a fountain for people, too. There are poop-scoop bags, trash bins, and even a couple shaded picnic tables for the parents |
The Al Lopez Dog Park is 2 acres of off-leash area, surrounded by fencing. To get to the off-leash area, go in the main entrance of Al Lopez Park, follow the main road, which will veer off to the left. This will be the parking lot for the park area. On Buc home game days, parking gets tight as tailgaters like to use this lot, too. |
After an outing to the dog park, even the most energetic of dogs suffers certain "side-effects"... |
