Sassy
Here, you can see how vibrant I am.  How many other dogs my age are so alert?
I'm a beautiful girl, eh?  I love hugs almost as much as I love kisses.
Sassy is as Sassy does, I always say. Howdy, I'm Sassy. I'm an 11 years young black lab girl. I lived with my dear human since I was a pup. Then, when she passed away, nobody wanted me. Someone even wanted to take me somewhere to be euthanized! I lived in a foster home for a little while, and those folks took good care of me. I couldn't stay any longer, so a plea went out for someone to take me in. VOCAL welcomed me with open arms (which subsequently closed reeeeaaaalllll tight in a big hug). They said that I can live out my years with them if noone adopts me. I would love to be adopted though, and be someone's cherished sweetheart. I'm very, very housetrained, and I'm still very mobile and happy. I love the other dogs here, but I'm a little confused by the cats. I love everyone I meet, and I'm really just a sweet, laid back girl. I do have a thyroid issue, and I need medicine for that each month (about $20). I also have a "lump" on or next to my spleen, but it doesn't slow me down. I'm a little bit on the chubby side, but we're working on that right now. We're on a bit of a diet, and we're enjoying walks and play time. I have a zest for life that would make you think that I was half my age (I know some folks like that, too!). I love belly rubs and snuggling, and I hope you do too. If you'll be my special person, I'll be your special dog. Got love?
